"Mickey"  is owned, trained, and handled by Jim Coggins of Milwaukee, an avid baseball fan who named Mickey after one of his childhood baseball heroes. Mickey joined Jessica, Alex, and Hunter as the fourth lab in Jim and Hilda Coggins home in Brown Deer Wisconsin. Jim is an AKC Hunt Test and Field Trial judge, an Obedience instructor, and secretary of the Fox Valley Retriever Club. He has a proven record of putting both hunt test and obedience titles on his labs. Mickey is a hard charging retriever who is an excellent, very precise marker, and is the leader of the Lime Creek pack in both AKC Retrieving and in AKC Obedience. Mickey is a strong pointer, who earned his APLA Certified Pointer title in the spring of 2002, and followed with a Grand Master Pointing Retriever title the following fall..  Mickey was bred for the first time in January of this year to a bitch with exceptionally strong  field trial lines, including a strong "Super Tanker" concentration. Mickey's extraordinarily strong trial record includes:

 Retrieving: 
· An AKC Junior Hunter title at 7 months.
· A "JAM" in a Derby at an AKC sanctioned Field Trial at 12 months.
· An AKC Senior Hunter title at 18 months, 
· The first leg toward an MH at 19 months, with a finished title at 3 years.
· A particularly impressive 1st place finish in the Qual at an AKC Sanctioned Field Trial at age 29 months.
· A "Reserved JAM" at a regular AKC licensed Field Trial Qual at 32 months.                                                                                                                      · A 2nd place finish and Qualified All Age while 3 years old.

 Obedience: 
· Four for four, including 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes, with a high score of 196 in Novice B in earning his AKC Obedience (CD) title.
· Also, one "High Point Labrador" award  and one award for "High Scoring dog with a Field Title", in earning his CD  title.
· An average score of 194.5 in earning his CD, making Mickey 25th, out of a total of 443 labs, earning their CD in the year 2000.
· A 3rd place finish and an average score of 193.7 in earning his CDX title.                                                                                                                           · Three for four, including three 1st place finishes while earning his UD title in winter, 2002. 
· Got his first UDX  leg on on his first try in September, 2002, and finished his UDX in mid-March of 2003.

 Pointing: 
· A strong pointer, who earned his CP title in March of 2002, and his GMPR title in the fall of 2002.
